NECSA also welcomes Mike Elmer, Director of Capabilities for Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Northern New England, who will provide an overview of sustainability initiatives and corporate commitment to responsible marketing. Interest in the concept of sustainability in the retail industry has been increasing significantly and Coca-Cola has been creating awareness about recycling efforts and the positive impact that this and other small changes people can make to their businesses or stores can have on the environment for years. CCNNE focuses on its commitment to making a positive contribution to the communities in which it does business, and communicating the socially and environmentally responsible standards by which it operates. CCNNE’s outreach in sustainability has earned recognition and repeat-demand from school, government and recycling events throughout the region. They have been changing the way people view the beverage sector by answering the scrutiny on health and wellness issues by continually creating responsible marketing, products and contributing on local and regional levels. Mike received his BA from Plymouth State University in NH, and MBA in Marketing at the University of Connecticut. Mike currently serves as the Vice-President of the MA Beverage Association and on the boards of the New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association, New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility and Special Olympics NH.”
